I have loved dancing for as long as I
can remember and have been blessed with many opportunities to feel
the freedom and joy of dance. Dancing has always been the ticket
that has given me connections with many different people all over
the world. Dance speaks a universal language that needs no
interpreter. I have been fortunate to have had many joyful dancing
experiences and performances ranging from ballroom to international
folk dancing. But my favorite form of dance is belly dance,
especially American Tribal. I love how this form of dance
celebrates of the spirit and power of a woman no matter what season
of her life she is in. I am very thrilled to be part of the
sisterhood of the Wicked Hips Tribal Dance group.
My theater work and television commercial experience as an actor
helps form a basis for all my performances in dance. In any type of
performance, we create a magical reality that transports the viewer
to a different place and time. It allows us and them to be fully in
the moment.
As a watercolor and mixed media artist, I demonstrate my love of
dance in the many paintings in which my subjects are dancers. My
art can be seen at many belly dance workshops, at local galleries,
and many juried shows. I love doing commission portraits and
especially love painting dancers in their costumes. I also design
jewelry especially geared to the belly dance performer. My web site

To dance is to touch the heart and soul of the dancer and the
viewer with the blessings of the creative spirit. How fortunate we
are to be able to bring this form of dance to a wide and varied
audience.
